Kaylee & John’s Joyful Summer Wedding at The Villa

Some love stories feel as natural as a summer breeze, and Kaylee and John’s journey is a perfect example. Their wedding at The Villa in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, was a day filled with love, happiness, and fun—a celebration as vibrant and heartfelt as their connection.

From Group Project to Forever

Back in January 2017, Kaylee and John met during a marketing class at The University of New Hampshire. Kaylee, a junior who had recently switched to the business school, found herself the odd one out in a class of sophomores. When the professor announced a semester-long group project, Kaylee was preparing to confess that she didn’t have a group. But before she could, a group of guys approached her—and one of them was John. That day marked the start of a friendship that eventually blossomed into a lifelong partnership.

Their first official date—at least the one they both agreed was a date—was a low-key evening enjoying food together before heading back to Kaylee’s suite to watch a movie with her roommates. What began as casual hangouts turned into something undeniable, even surviving a brief breakup in 2018. It was during their time apart that they both realized they couldn’t imagine life without each other. From then on, it was forever.

A Perfect August Day

Kaylee and John’s wedding day was everything you’d hope for in late summer—warm sunshine, blue skies, and just the right temperature to enjoy being outdoors. The love and joy from their family and friends were palpable, creating an atmosphere of pure happiness. One especially sweet detail was the bond between Kaylee and her mom, Jessica, whose emotional moments throughout the day added an extra layer of sentimentality.

Timeless Elegance

Kaylee looked stunning in her classic a-line dress, featuring a square neckline, thick straps, and buttons trailing gracefully down the back. Her embroidered veil added a soft, romantic touch, perfectly complementing her chic low-bun hairstyle. The bridesmaids wore blue dresses, each unique to their personal styles yet harmonizing beautifully as a group.

John and his groomsmen kept it sharp in dark blue suits paired with white ties and blue and white floral accents. Kaylee’s bouquet of blue hydrangeas with white roses and carnations tied the color palette together seamlessly, bringing a fresh and timeless feel to the day.

Family-Centered Moments

John’s sister, Amy, officiated the ceremony, blending humor and heartfelt moments as she shared Kaylee and John’s love story with their guests. It was a personal and meaningful touch that left everyone smiling and tearing up.

Family played a huge role in their celebration. Kaylee’s four sisters—Kristyn, Kassidy, Karissa, and Khloe—stood by her side as bridesmaids, along with John’s sister, Julie, and sister-in-law, Ruthie. John’s brother, Kevin, served as his best man, adding another layer of familial love to the day.

Kaylee’s stepdad, Peter, delivered a memorable welcome speech, even nodding to a speech Kaylee had given at his and Jessica’s wedding. It was a full-circle moment that tied together years of family memories.

Thoughtful Details and Heartfelt Speeches

The wedding décor was classic and refined, with a color palette of blues and whites. Light blue hydrangeas adorned the florals, while baby blue bridesmaid dresses and white accents brought a soft elegance to the day.

The speeches were a highlight, with Kaylee’s maid of honor, Lilly, offering a unique perspective on their relationship, and John’s best man, Kevin, sharing nostalgic and funny stories from their childhood. The heartfelt words from loved ones brought laughter, tears, and a deeper understanding of the bond Kaylee and John share.

How It All Came Together

In Their Words

“Ashlee, we have no words, just wow!! Thank you so much for capturing our day in such a special way! I can’t watch either video without crying, and neither can most of our families!

The highlight video is simply amazing. I can’t believe how much you were able to fit into a short video and keep it as meaningful as you did. We are so happy to be able to watch this and the ceremony back and relive our day.

Thank you so much again, Ashlee. You truly outdid yourself!”

Kaylee and John, thank you for trusting me to capture your beautiful day. Your love story is one for the books, and your wedding was a true celebration of everything that makes you, you. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and endless joy!
