A Perfect October Wedding in Scituate, Massachusetts

Allison and Rob celebrated their love on a beautiful October day in Scituate, Massachusetts. Their ceremony took place at St. Mary of the Nativity, a charming church near downtown Scituate, just steps from Scituate Harbor. They continued their celebration at The River Club, a picturesque venue tucked along a winding road surrounded by marshland, where the sunset creates an unforgettable backdrop for photos.

How Allison and Rob’s Story Began

To tell their story best, let’s hear from Allison herself:

“It all started in 2015, at a classic townie restaurant bar. Rob was a waiter, and I was just starting my first shift as a food runner. It wasn’t fireworks right away, and definitely not love at first sight—I was too nervous to talk to Rob, and he was a bit too shy to strike up a conversation.

Rob’s always been a bit reserved when it comes to letting people in, but eventually, we broke through those walls. Our friendship started to blossom, and Tuesdays quickly became our favorite day. We’d meet up at “table 4” between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m., during the lull when work slowed down, and we’d talk about anything and everything.

Over time, our bond deepened as we helped each other through the good times and the tough ones. By the summer of 2019, Rob realized that I wasn’t just his best friend—I might actually be the love of his life.

From Friends to Forever

Rob’s version of asking me out was a little unconventional. He invited me to Gateway, a cozy bar where we could chat for hours over strong drinks. Eventually, he officially asked me to be his girlfriend during a spontaneous trip to New York for a Quinn XCII concert. He’d actually been calling me his girlfriend for days before, but I had to remind him that he hadn’t formally asked!

That’s when Rob took a hotel notepad and went back to middle school basics. He wrote, “Will you be my girlfriend?” with checkboxes for “yes,” “no,” and “maybe.” I checked “yes,” and that sealed the deal.

Our first official date was the perfect mix of laughter and fun. We snuck a few drinks into a screening of The Lion King, laughed our way through the movie, and ended the night with more drinks at Margarita’s. I knew then it was the best decision of our lives.

Working With Ashlee on Our Wedding Film

“I wish I could give more than just 5 stars because if you are looking for a videographer for your special day, look no further. Ashlee went above and beyond to capture the most important moments for our wedding day and put it into a film that made me feel like we were the stars of a movie. Ashlee was super personable and made sure that I was heard with what my vision was for our wedding day. I couldn’t even believe the shots she got and how well she edited them together. I cannot tell you how many times I have watched this video and each time made me feel like I was right there in that moment all over again. The music she uses for the background and the overhead drone shots were such an amazing touch. She is truly one of the most talented people I’ve ever met. She did so amazing on our video that my sisters, who one isn’t even engaged and the other doesn’t even have a boyfriend- are both planning to use her for their videographer. Aside from how amazing she did on our video she has the most kindest souls and you can tell she truly cares about what she does and you as her client but also you as a person. Thank you Ashlee! It was so amazing to work with you! I will forever recommend you to any friends or family members and I hope to work with you again one day!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
